Teardown · Project coordinator
The duty list
A duty list answers a question nobody asked. The job description already said what the role entailed — what it could not say is what changed because this particular person held it.
Invented resume, invented person — we don’t keep anyone’s file, so we have none to publish. How this series works
Before
The numbered marks are where a fast structural pass runs into trouble. Each one is explained underneath.

- 1
“A results-driven, detail-oriented team player seeking to leverage my project management skills in a fast-paced environment where I can grow.”
The most valuable block on the page is spent on adjectives anyone could claim and a statement of what the applicant wants. A skim that starts at the top starts here, and leaves knowing nothing that distinguishes this candidate from the next one.
- 2
“Responsible for coordinating project schedules across multiple teams”
The first two words of a bullet do most of the work, because they are what gets read when the rest doesn't. “Responsible for” spends them announcing that a duty was assigned rather than naming what got done.
- 3
“Duties included running the weekly status meeting”
Not one numeral appears anywhere in the experience section. Numbers are the only thing on a resume that survives compression intact — a skim that catches “31%” has caught the whole claim.
- 4
“Project management, communication, Microsoft Office, teamwork, organization”
Five skills asserted here, zero of them demonstrated above. A skills list that nothing in the experience section proves is a list of intentions.
After
Same person, same jobs, same facts. This version passes every automated check we run, and the build fails if it ever stops doing so.

What actually changed
Three moves, and none of them added an achievement that wasn’t already on the page.
The objective became a summary with evidence in it
Same block of space, opposite content: what this person did, with the two numbers that prove it. The version that states what the candidate wants has been deleted rather than improved — a reader who is deciding whether to keep reading has no use for it.
Every bullet opens on the change, not the assignment
Cut, recovered, reduced, standardized. The duty is still visible inside each line, but it arrives after the outcome instead of instead of it.
The skills list shrank and became checkable
Five vague claims became four specific tools, and each one appears inside a bullet with a number attached. Keyword, context, metric: the term the posting searches for, sitting in something that happened, with the figure that proves it.
Which of these is your resume doing?
The marks above come from checks that run automatically. Point them at your own resume and every finding comes back quoting the line that caused it.
